HRH Transport is, as far as we are aware, the only commercial moving company to completely specialise in the relocation of laboratories. It is the only type of removal work we undertake. As you would expect, in twenty years we have developed the methods to meet the very specific requirements of the scientist needing to relocate equipment, consumables, chemicals, samples, office equipment and files. These are the questions we are frequently asked and the answers to them.

"A 600 KG plant growth
cabinet being tilted onto its side in order to pass it through a
standard height door."
Do we supply packing crates and materials for staff to pack?
Indeed we do. The picture (below) shows some of the most commonly used crates we supply. These are delivered in advance of the move and collected when you are finished with them. You can retain crates for a small extra daily charge if you need temporary storage or for some reason it is not possible to unpack immediately after the move. We can supply bubble wrap, labels, security ties, anything you need to ensure the safety of your laboratory contents. Our delivery team will also give a demonstration of packing methods to make sure you pack safely and in the least time possible.

"Safely lowered to the horizontal position, the cabinet can now be wheeled to its new location."
Do we offer a packing service?
Yes, we will be pleased to quote for the supply of a packing team in advance of the move, although most labs prefer to use the move as an opportunity to sort and discard unwanted items. We do not normally quote to unpack unless there are very unusual circumstances because you and your staff are in the best position to lay out the new laboratory.

"These are the three types of packing crates we use regularly. On the left the standard A3, in the centre the SC2, and on the right a computer crate: deep enough to take a complete PC or two microscopes."
