Suppliers are often tempted by apparently low prices offered by bulk carriers. They are missing an opportunity to reduce, or even eliminate costs in a critical but frequently overlooked area: packaging. We do not require your products to be packed. Our customers tell us that we sometimes charge less to collect, deliver and site position their equipment than their packing company charges to crate it for shipment with a large carrier.

"This Thermotron Environmental Test Chamber has been removed from its shipping crate at our premises and is now being loaded onto one of our air-suspended tail lift vehicles for delivery to the point-of-use at the customers site."

   
Ours is a valuable service when new equipment is shipped. When demonstration apparatus needs to be moved to or from a potential customer or an exhibition it is often the only way to handle it economically. The initiative to cut down the cost to the environment of excess packaging that began with German regulations is set to spread throughout Europe. Use HRH and you take the lead and save money. 
There are safety implications that go beyond the movement of hazardous materials. Routes for loading and unloading have to be agreed to minimize risk to your staff, to other users of the buildings not involved in the move, and the general public. This is also covered in the audit.

In terms of units moved compared to some industries, the supply of scientific and medical equipment is not a massive logistics market. By specializing completely in serving the scientific community HRH chooses to stay small but very focused. We achieve economies based on efficiency and expertise, not scale. HRH does not have to be big to offer a comprehensive service. We have regular direct services to all parts of the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Holland and North Germany. We do not operate a hub system where your products are transshipped several times before delivery. It is very likely that the driver collecting your shipment will be part of the team that positions it for your customer. The personal responsibility this encourages in our staff ensures the safety, security and control of your shipment.
