Delivery and Installation

Customers are increasingly insisting on the delivery of their new equipment to point of use, largely as the result of new health and safety legislation. The days when a customer would accept delivery of expensive, fragile and heavy apparatus, then enlist the aid of porters and students to unpack it and move it to where it was needed, are thankfully past.

"HRH trucks fitted with air suspension and large cantilever tail lifts, make moving your loads smoother, while their 'ECO' low emission engines treat the environment with equal care."

Forward thinking suppliers have recognized this and used our expertise as a selling tool for twenty years. HRH pioneered this service to the scientist and has built up a solid reputation for safety, reliability and economy.

Some deliveries require no more than a polite driver prepared to wheel a floor standing unit into position and perhaps explain the controls to the user. At the other end of the scale some of our customers ask us to supply a skilled team with heavy lifting gear, up to and including a crane, to assist their own engineers with the initial build up of equipment we have brought to site.

In between there is a range of requirements: ultra low freezers and centrifuges to be safely and smoothly climbed up and down stairs. Fume hoods, glove boxes and containment cabinets to be placed on benches and stands. Double chamber incubators to be dipped under low doorways. All routine tasks for us but a formidable problem for a conventional carrier.

We still hear of instances where scientists have turned deliveries away because their supplier has tried to deliver heavy equipment on a truck without a tail lift. The message we receive from all end users is that they will not accept a half way delivery service. We use the most up to date tail lift equipped vehicles and handling gear, operated by experienced and careful men to make sure your customer's first experience of your product is a positive one.

Some deliveries need a compact truck to access the site. Even our smallest vehicle is fitted with a tail lift, capable of handling the largest - 80 degree chest freezer."
